The Resort Rankings are used to qualify Alpine racers for the NASTAR National Championships. Participants within the Alpine discipline qualify if they were ranked in the top three in their age & gender category in their division at any NASTAR resort as of Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Participants in the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division and Bronze Division are eligible to qualify for the National Championships. Participants are placed in a division based on their national ranking handicap. If a national handicap has not been achieved the state ranking handicap places the participant in their Division. Participants with only one NASTAR race are placed in their division based on their resort ranking handicap. Some participants may change divisions after Feb. 20, but those competitors will compete at the NASTAR National Championships in the Division in which they qualified. If a participant qualified at more than one resort, the participant next in line at the resort qualifies (i.e. the 6th, 7th, 8 th, etc. place participant). These qualifiers are marked with a **
