Participants receive a National Ranking after completing five (5) NASTAR races. These five races must be completed on separate days. The lowest and highest race day handicaps earned during the season are dropped and the second, third and fourth best race day handicaps are added together and divided by three to determine the National Ranking. Ties are broken by the total number of days raced. If a participant has five (5) or more race days, their National Ranking handicap is used to determine whether they are placed in the Platinum Division, Gold Division, Silver Division or Bronze Division.
